The Friends have a busy events programme to engage members and non-members alike, including outings and a holiday, as well as various events within the Cathedral and Close to which all are very welcome. Any small profit made goes towards our funds to support Salisbury Cathedral. We have tickets for most events which are bookable in advance or can be bought on the door – but please check with the office beforehand, just in case we are sold out!!
All are welcome to join us for a very special party to celebrate our year as one of the Mayor of Salisbury’s charities. There will be home-made cakes, tea a plenty, and music and dancing for those who wish to take to the floor! It will be an afternoon’s enjoyable entertainment in the beautiful Guildhall ballroom. Get out your dancing shoes or just sit and enjoy listening to our performers – singles, couples – all welcome for a grand time!
Several special gardens in the Close of Salisbury Cathedral will open during the afternoon to the public, in aid of the Friends. We will also have an exhibition of botanical art by Salisbury Florilegium Society, which was formed following on from this event last year. Several local artists have contributed their beautiful and exquisite watercolours of flowers from gardens which opened last year, and these will be on show. Refreshments will be offered for sale in the South Canonry, with proceeds going to the Sudan Link.
Open 1 – 5.30 pm, £10 entry programme on sale from Choristers Green on the day, children under 12 free – EVERYONE WELCOME! Booking not required.
