The Friends have a busy events programme to engage members and non-members alike, including outings and a holiday, as well as various events within the Cathedral and Close to which all are very welcome. Any small profit made goes towards our funds to support Salisbury Cathedral. We have tickets for most events which are bookable in advance or can be bought on the door – but please check with the office beforehand, just in case we are sold out!!

Monday 9th April - SOLD OUT
A coach outing to the beautiful Sir Harold Hillier Gardens in Romsey & Romsey Abbey

A coach outing, departing from Millstream Approach, Salisbury at 9.30 am. Cost includes a guided tour and talk from the Head Gardener of the Hillier gardens, a real treat; guided tour of Romsey Abbey; all entrances and coach travel. Time to explore the town before departing Romsey at approximately 5.15 pm

Sunday 20th May
‘Secret Gardens of the Close’  1 – 5.00 pm

A very popular event for Friends and members of the public alike – another chance to enjoy and explore some favourite gardens in the Close of Salisbury Cathedral rarely seen – together with some new gardens this year.

Entrance by Entry Programme, £10 per person (Children 16 and under free) to enter all 11 gardens available on the day from the Friends Entrance Tent on Choristers’ Green.

Salisbury Art Trail: at the Friends Office, 33a The Close

The botanic art of our Salisbury Florilegium Society will be exhibiting in our office garden as part of Salisbury Art Trail; Sundays 11.30 — 4pm, Wed, Thurs, Fri 10.30 — 12.30, 2.30 — 4pm.

Friday 29th June
Half Day Visit by coach to Longford Castle

A coach outing, departing from Millstream Approach at 9.45 am, with a guided tour of Longford Castle (min 20, max 40 people in 2 groups). Depart Longford to Salisbury at 12.30 pm: cost includes entrance, guidebook and coach.

Cost: £25 per person

25 - 29 June - Friends’ Holiday to Chester – fully booked
